water
¾cup
long grain rice
1tsp
salt

Steps

  1. Boil the water in a pot with the rice.
  2. Once boiling, reduce the heat and simmer with a lid on.
  3. Simmer for 1 hour stirring from time to time until it becomes like porridge.
  4. Finish with the salt.
  5. Dish up with your desired accompaniment, crush peanuts, scallions are just 2, there are so many you can use.
